Bespoke Dining Room Design

Glamorous Dining Room in Oxted

The brief: Design an elegant dining room in a large family house in Oxted, Surrey.  This almost square space leads into three different reception rooms so it was important to establish a natural flow.  We achieved this by sourcing a beautiful circular table with beaten chrome base from Julian Chichester and unusual custom made dining chairs which were upholstered with a smart and practical velvet stripe.  We then added interest to the walls with textured reflective grey wallpaper from Brian Yates.  The carpet was replaced by an American Black walnut floor which is both elegant and practical for family use.

The brief:  Create an intimate dining area within this large industrial style kitchen.  One end of this kitchen provided the perfect place to site the client’s existing modern B and B Italia dining table which is complemented by 8 mismatched antique rosewood chairs. Overall it provides seating for 10 people and is used as an alternative to the large kitchen bar area when they entertain.

Bespoke Retro Dining in Reigate

The brief: Create a bespoke dining room space in a reception room lacking natural light.  Our clients entertain regularly and this cosy room now seats eight people in comfort. We worked with a local furniture restorer to bring our client's retro Danish rosewood table and chairs back to life and went to town with rich purple and golden bronze wallpaper. Wall to wall bespoke gold/bronze hand pleated interlined curtains made the window appear larger than it is by covering wall space. American black walnut flooring completed the scheme.

Antique Dining within a Contemporary Kitchen

The brief: Design a kitchen and dining area spacious enough to fit the client’s beautiful Georgian Dining table.  Our clients purchased this new build house in Reigate when downsizing. However they still needed space to entertain their large extended family. The kitchen was designed to ensure this beautiful heirloom piece of furniture (which seats up to 12) took pride of place. The combination of contemporary and traditional furniture simply makes the room feel far more interesting. Dining chairs were reupholstered to coordinate with the luxury bespoke soft furnishings used within the whole space.
