Victorian Elegance in South Nutfield

Victorian Elegance in South Nutfield

Porta Romana Lamp

The brief: Create warmth and style in this large Victorian house in South Nutfield, Surrey.  Bespoke luxury soft furnishings in the form of handmade curtains with an upholstered pelmet now frame the front door. The curtain is made from a luxurious bold chenille fabric trimmed with devoré velvet, and the chunky rope tieback was bespoke for the project. Elsewhere in this very large T- shaped entrance hall a vintage chair has been upholstered in a complementary contemporary fabric and oriental rugs collected on the client's travels complete the scheme.

Simplicity in Holland Park

The brief: Create a simple but elegant entrance hall in a Victorian town house in London.  True to the brief we simply painted the hall, stairs and landings of this 3 storey town house in Linen Wash from Little Greene Paint Company! The floor of the entrance hall and reception rooms that lead from it (shown in the Living Rooms section) is American Black Walnut, so we used a contrasting texture and colour in the form of deep pile velvet carpet in a pale taupe. Bespoke silk shades on beautiful nickel wall lights from Porta Romana were used to light the hall, stairs and landings.>/p>

Contemporary Classic Reigate Hallway

The brief: Create an interesting Entrance Hall, Stairs and Landing for our client’s new build house in Reigate, Surrey.  We used a wallpaper from Cole and Son with an organic pattern blocked in Silver which added reflectivity to the areas where there was no direct natural light. It formed a good backdrop to the client’s extensive collection of photographs and prints but also looks wonderful on its own. A pure wool horizontal ribbed carpet from Jacaranda was used throughout.
